new giraffe at Wellington

Wellington Zoo is to receive a young male giraffe from Orana to replace Ricky who died recently. The maleSeun will be their next breeding male. The thing is I don't know anything about this particular giraffe. He is supposed to be a year old. HIs he the son of Nathalie, born in Oct. 2006, or the son of Zuri, born Nov 2006?

Auckland recently had two births, are you sure its from Orana..? The giraffe exhibit at Auckland has been looking quite full recently...

Yeah the newspaper articles definately mentioned he was coming from Orana. There is actually a lot of extra males in NZ at the moment. I ssuspect that it is Nathalies calf, though don't know for sure. Thanks for the thought though.
