Can't wait for the details like sex of the cubs. Plus i'd be throughly interested in the naming of these cubs.

Can I ask a question, Glyn,
Who is Hari? is it another name for Molek? or another tiger?

This is great news... It'll be an excellent boost of the zoo's revenues as it'll be spring when they are ready for their enclosure...

The best thing is the last 3 matings and cubs were the result of 3 new pairings, all unrepresented. Now with adelaide and taronga's new pairings, as well as oz zoos new indo cubs, it will be brilliant for the region.

Hoepfully with enough cubs Australia can have a baby boom in tigers.

Newborn Sumatran tiger triplets spotted at New Zealand zoo | Freep.com | Detroit Free Press

I just have to say that I find it incredibly amusing to read reports of first 1, then 2, and now 3 sumatran tiger cubs! Anyway, it's fantastic news for the breeding program, as well as Auckland Zoo's attendance numbers for 2008.

I wonder if there will be a 4th and 5th and ....cub appear at Auckland !
Lets all hold our breath .......

But this is great news , and something that will cheer up zoo staff after the death of the giraffe

@NZ Jeremy: how often do you visit Auckland Zoo, and how far away do you live from it? You always make it seem as if it's just down the road...but maybe it is!

P.S. Triple count the tiger cubs before you leave...

Wouldn't be excellent if more cubs just suddenly popped out.
