I think they will, Mr Coates promised promotion within two years, and he has achieved that. I hope he knows what he is doing.

We'll have to wait and see how next season goes, 17th place will do.

Manchester United and Arsenal both lost on their last visits to Stoke, although the week after beating Man U 3-1 Stoke lost 4-0 at Rhyl.

Chester are my second favourite team. I hope they do better next season.

I just realised in the first post I made a mistake. I meant to say:

"I support Stoke City, but I have an attachment to Liverpool"

not the other way around...

That's cleard up a mystery Jimmy. I was wondering why a Liverpool suppoert would go to every Stoke home game.

Did you go to the Gordon Banks match. I went to his testimonial in December 1973. It was a rotten night, it rained incessantly and it was bitterly cold. Stoke were defeated 2-1 by Manchester United, and the Stoke side included Bobby Charlton and Eusabio.

I only noticed the mistake after the thread was bumped!

I did go the Banks match only to see Banks and Pele appear. The match was, frankly, awful. A bunch of Z-list celebrities interspersed with the odd footballer (Mike Pejic and Mark Stein included). His testimonial sounded far, far better!

When reading my forecast please remember I support Chester City.

So what do I know !

Top 4 - 1st Chelsea, 2nd Man U, 3rd Liverpool and 4th Arsenal.

Bottom - just surviving Fulham, regulated West Brom, Hull and bottom Stoke (sorry).

The main challengers to the Top 4 seem to be selling rather than buying.

By the way I administrate a (small) Fantasy Football Super League.

We play under the Daily Telegraph newspaper rules (they charge £6).

Chester have had a really rough time, since the American bought them, things have slightly improved under Vaughan.

We play under the Telegraphy at work and pay an additional charge to have MOTM award and about £150 for the person who tops the league

I also like soccer, and I'm a fan of the Los Angeles Galaxy and I sometimes support Chivas USA, which is the second team from Los Angeles. Being from America it's hard being a soccer fan because of all the other major sports, but I still sometimes attend the home games for both teams.

I used to have FIFA 07 for xbox 360 and when playing I would always choose Arsenal so I guess I kind of like that team, even though I've never seen any of their games on TV or anything.

Pro Evo is the best football game out there by a mile!! Arsenal are ok if you want to watch aload of fancy player play but lose and cry because they dont like the physical game

mstickmanp, how're David Beckham, Abel Xavier and Ruud Gullit working out at the Galaxy?

We get the occaisonal MLS highlights over here, depending on if it was on important game for Beckham, but it's not enough to follow his progress.

Wait until they come to the land of the giants (aka Britannia Stadium) next year .

We've gained a somewhat unfair reputation as a "hoof" team, but we're more physical than Bolton (but can play it about a bit)!

oh and I'm a FIFA guy myself, but will be buying Pro Evo next year (for one reason)

So far so good for the Galaxy as they are in first place in the Western Conference, but the playoffs is what matters more and of course winning the MLS cup.

I find it strange that the MLS is the only football league that doesn't have promtions and relegation.

Is it similar to basket ball, i.e. several leagues and the top teams compete for the overall winner in a knock out style comp?
