The stupidest thing I have done recently is spending two days trying to get my scanner to work, then finding out it does work if it is plugged in.

The STUPIDEST thing... quite hard really.....

I did jump into a swimming pool with my watch and glasses on. They sunk to the bottom, and I couldn't get to them (the chlorine really hurts my eyes). So I had to wait for someone else to dive down to the bottom of the pool for me.

I don't that is the stupidest thing ever though... I've done a lot stupider things in the past...

I once got on the bus for school realising that I'd forgotten my money, so I had to get off walk home, and my dad had to drive me to school.

Once tried to film the orang-utans at Chester with the lens cap on....

Walked into a door

There are many more... I'll post them when I find them out! Really I am quite stupid!

A very stupid thing I do from time to time is post a reply to a thread on this forum before realising, too late, that I'm not actually at the end of the thread, and that there's a whole page of postings after the one I was answering! (I did it today on the thread titled "Taronga's Elephants and other news.")

I'm sure people would read the thread and think,"Wow, this guy's really not keeping up with things, is he?"

hmmm, this is an odd topic but...
stupid things ive done seem to revolve alot around europes public transport system. i twice got my head jammed in the door of the tube in london, once was so drunk at camden i took off my expensive jacket, and left it and a whole heap of paper work behind at the station and only realised when i got out at golders green half naked and shivering in the 6 degree cold. though probably the stupidist thing i ever did was in munich when i tried to squeeze my way onto a train which was packed. i got in, but the doors closed tighter than a nazi gas chamber on my back pack and i was stuck as 3 men tried to open the doors as the train began to move. after composing myself in front of a packed carriage i had the sense to translate all the warnings about the notorious door system.

Drinking a large cup of tea before going round Woburn Safrai Park! That's one benefit of zoos you can nip the loo when you need to without being eaten by a lion. ha

Several... But most recently I went to try and smack a gnat that was flying around in front of my face and ended up smacking myself instead. Thankfully no one else saw it, but that still made me laugh at myself.

This is so stupid that you will know it must be true.
I have just applied for an internal promotion: if I get the job I will get no extra pay, I will get two hours less teaching to give me time to do the job, but I as all our timetables are full I can't actually be given those hours and I'm not convinced I'll get overtime for them either. I only put my application in because no one else wanted the job and someone fairly sensible has to do it. My interview is next week - wish me luck
I am the only candidate

Alan

I'm an expert at knocking Christmas trees over. Some people just have the knack.

I found this pretty weird on what happened at school today I personally think it is stupid,
At class, our vice principal, came to talk to us about just issues that had been at the school , when she was leaving two other guys started to clap very slowly, she then absoultly cracked it! And said " This is disgusts me, I am appaled....etc."

The two guys then got a 45 minute detention and in house suspension, ... now that I find really weird,

I then asked the guys who are casual hi-bye friends: " So I heard something happened in class today, "

" they then said what didn't you see it?? "

( whacks head)

this isn't really stupidity on my part, just bad luck, but for the last few days (since Monday) I've been camping out in the mountains on the West Coast looking for great spotted kiwi. Then a massive storm blew in, the rivers broke their banks and flooded the access roads. At one point I was wading for half an hour through freezing chest-deep flood-waters to get out. Made it out alive through good fortune more than anything else.
