thought some of our aussie members might be interested in this new channel 7 series called the zoo that documents life in Taronga, dubbo and i think others.

it airs on sunday at 630 on 7 and should be good fun

The Zoo, hosted by Melissa Doyle premieres this Sunday February 3 at 6.30pm on Seven

Will do. I'll be watching it with my twelve year old nephew whio is a bit of zoo fan himself. He had recently visited Western Plains which he enjoyed - training the next generation here.

i quite enjoyed the show (well enjoying right now) the Pygmy Hippo introductin is cool, but the only Male in the region? has mareebas died?

Numbats introduction was also interesting.

yer i really liked it, it was cool seeing people i know on telly and all the behind the scenes stuff is interesting...like the fake eagle traning for the numbats

Ben, I didn't think so. . . may have. Also what was the first half of the show like? Big storms had power out here for 3 hours, only caught the last ten minutes. . .

Does channel 7 have a thing like the BBC iplayer where you can watch the past week's programmes on the internet? Because I would really like to see this esp the numbats

does anyone know if the dvds will be released commercially? for sale in the gift shop??? on another note along media lines, i had to laugh that the zoo now no longer gives away for free copies of the sydney herald. instead it stocks daily telegraph. am wondering if this is because of the **** the herald gave the zoo last year over the welfare claims
