Zoobeat forumers pets!
Old 09-03-2008

I was wondering what unusual pets any of the zoobeaters keep as pets! I keep 8 species of small rodents including fat tailed gerbils, african striped grass mice, african pygmy dormice, chinchilla and a few more common species!

Just thought it would be interesting!

They're the first species of my future south american tank. will be joined by Hyphessobrycon, Corydoras and Otocinclus. Possible a Ancistrus too.

well, besides the typical cat and dog, I'm kinda the cold-blooded type.
really into fish and reptiles.

in reptiles I mostly keep and breed snakes: I've got 4 pairs of ratsnakes (cornsnake, taiwanese ratsnakes, chinese cavesnakes, transpecos ratsnake), emerald treeboas (my personal favorites) and boa constrictors
besides that I keep african spurred tortoises, mexican marsh turtles, 3 slider species and a crowned basilisk

in fish I've got the big south americans: silver arowana, freshwater stingray, brazilian eartheaters, silver dollars, freshwater barracuda and a variety in common and suckermouth catfish

I used to have a marine system too with lionfish, triggers, moray eel and shark. but due to a lack of time, space, ... I had to give that up. but, lucky me, with recent construction changes round the house, I'll have one up and running again soon...

I think that about wraps it up on my behalf.
oh yeah, I've used all common names in the above list. people interested in more details or latin names, just shout.
