hi everyone,

my name is Jurgen, i'm 15 years (and 5 months) old and i live in Belgium.
My hobbys are visiting zoos (55 so far) and collecting skulls, preparated animals, insects etc.
My favourite zoo here in Belgium is zoo antwerp, but also parc paradisio, olmense zoo and planckendael

If someone has questions, just ask!!!

I love Antwerp zoo!!! But not their stupid wattled guans (They didn't come out, I could see their silhouette and everything!!)

that's a shame, but i don't have pictures of(f?) them either.

What i like the most in antwerp zoo is the fact that it is 165 years old, it had that greats buildings and a great history!

I took some great pictures of the enclosures, and some amazing film of the Yellow knobbed curassow male calling. He's lovely.

Hey and welcome!

Am i correct in thinking that they have Bonobos at Antwerp? I know the majority of the european population is in German/Belgian zoos. Would love to see any pictures of their enclosure and any info you have on them.

there used to be bonobos at antwerp, but since 10-15 years they're in Planckendael.
9 bonobos they have.

I've been to Antwerp once in 2003, but I must say, it was better this time!!!

I'm just organising my pictures at the moment, they have not come out as well as I'd hoped, but they're great for the purposes I'll be using them for.
