Hello!

Which is your favourite zoo, and what zoos have you visited?

I like Chester and Blackbrook, as they are the places I visit most, but I also like Zurich, Antwerp and San diego.

I went within metres of Cologne zoo, but was not allowed to go in, as it was not part of the school trip...SO FRUSTRATING!

Have you seen Chester's growing Rodent collection?

What species do they currently keep? Chester is indeed a good zoo!

If you are referring to Rodents, Chester keeps:
- Prairie Marmots
- Capybara
- Turkish Spiny Mouse (in the twilight zone)
- Various African Mice (in the okapi house)
- A few Asian squirrels (outside the elephant house)

possibly more as well...

Bangka Prevost's Squirrel
Yunnan Belly-banded Squirrel
Black-tailed Prairie Marmot
Mount Kulal Spiny Mouse
Turkish Spiny Mouse
Emin's Giant Pouched Rat
Woodland Dormouse
Mesic Four-striped Grass Mouse
Tree Rat (Thallomys species)
Grass Rat (Arvicanthis species)
Harvest Mouse
Water Vole
Azara's Agouti
Capybara

I think that's all, but I've probably missed something.

Was that because you visited the Cathedral? If I remember rightly both are in the same area and you pass the Zoo en route to the Cathedral. Correct?
