In june 2008 there was a Caecilian born at the Antwerp Zoo, something unique

I think Marc is referring to a Barred Parakeet (Bolborhynchus lineola). I've heard them referred to as "Catherine's parakeet"...

CZJimmy, it is the Dutch name for the Barred Parrakeet.

Great news!
This week a macaronipenguin was born at the Antwerp Zoo! It will be raised by the zookeepers. The Gentoopenguins also had a birth but the young died. The kingpenguins are still breeding...

When I was there in march there were three baby Cuora amboinesis. One was struggling to stay above the water and the people were shouting their parents (in many languages

) and turning away as it, at one point looked as if it were dead.

The others looked healthy though...
