Weren't those three elephants bought up together from babies? If so, then do you think they will ever breed? Might they sort of think of each other as brothers and sisters, but nothing more?

Hi there, you know, I'm not very informed about the elephant section.

We have 16 lions: 1 male, 3 castrated males, 3 youngs and the females.

3 tigers: 1male and 2 females separated from the male because he's not pure.

We've got 7 bears, 2 males ( 1castrated and 1 had vasectomy).

6 wolves.

Do you think knowing their names is important ?

So you offer to give information out, and when someone asks for it, you throw it back in their face with some sarcastic answer?

I was just thinking of more important information...like what they are fed on, or if they breed...

Our tigers are Korushka, Neurka and Tosh.

For the lions, I don't know all of them for the moment :

Shain the male, Gemma Tambi et Naja the 3 dominant females and Ace, Flint and Balaa the 3 castrated males.

I don't know the names of the wolves.

I know George and Rough the 2 males bears and I don't know the names of the 5 females.

was the decision to end the breeding potential of the two male bears undertaken when there were only two males left? This will be the last of this species in the UK when this group dies out now. A shame, but they are probably the lowest priority for a bear species in conservation terms.

I think a lot of people on this board are interested in the elephants. Are there plans to bring in any more, if so do you know when this is happening/ where they are coming from? Have the current 3 shown any breeding behaviour so far?

thanks

Do you have any plans or pictures of the new elephant house?

Last I heard, the plans had to be significantly scaled back due to budgetary reasons...
