@Glyn: excellent shots of Great Southern Oceans. I'm wondering if seating for 900 will be enough for the seal/sea lion shows? Maybe there will be 5 or more shows per day? At San Diego Seaworld I watched the killer whale show and was crammed in with 5,000 other spectators in a packed stadium. The orcas only actually performed for 17 minutes, and yet not another body could have been squeezed into the stadium. With Taronga having huge attendance figures (not quite as high as Seaworld) then isn't a 900 seat theatre too small?

I don't think a zoo would be a theatre when sure it wouldn't be adequate.

I've added some more pictures of exhibits I like ,as I consider this to be the most usefull to add to the gallery.
I do have one question though : what kind of description is wanted ? I usually add location and what's seen in the picture, maybe a date or a bit of explanation.
Is anything else needed ?

sorry, the seal theatre has capacity to seat 950 people and ive heard at least 3 presentations a day will be held, meaning more than 2000 people get to see the show over the day.
taronga zoo is probably the best zoo Ive ever been to in terms of jam packed presentation timetables. when you arrive at the zoo the info centre hands out leaflets-there are bird shows up to 3 daily, seal shows up to 3 daily and keeper presentations and animal feeds pretty much on the hour every hour throughout the day for a range of species.
with the photos i think a description is good. also any nugget of interesting info on the exhibit/species concerned.

The gallery is getting popular. I've added 30 pictures myself over the last few days.
I like the gallery ,and I think it's a good thing. A few more months or years, and we have a whole database of zoo photos from around the world.

Editing pictures
Old 04-04-2008

Hi there

Yes, you can edit your own pictures after uploading and also move them between categories, etc (if new ones are added to the site for example).

Open your photo (on the site) and then go to the little control panel at the bottom, one of those buttons is an edit button. You can them change any fields you like.

Hope this helps!
