Hmmm, does anyone know when we will decide on the largest bull? I know I'm being impatient, but if Boy's weight matches very well compared to Radza, I think we could hold a poll, for public opinion, just a suggestion.

I don`t think "we" can "decide" how the largest bull is - and why should there be a timeline?! The only thing we can do - and this is what we did - was exchanging the availible information about some bulls, just for fun. These informations are NOT complete and will never be. Or what do you think, how should we find out Boy`s weight? I am pretty sure the Kiev zoo has no scale so no one knows this! Regarding Packy/Oregon, no information about his dates is public, as far as I know. You can write the zoo and ask but no guarantee that you will get an answer (and I don`t know if they have a scale for the big bulls). Don`t take this too serious.

Yes Yassa there is no time line on finding out who is the biggest bull and yes it is just a bit of fun but it would be nice to know, I have stated this would take some time and there will be no quick answer I feel some just want a quick fix to this

We are not looking for opinions as to who is the largest, we want FACTS, getting the facts right is important not guessing

Notonly Kan Kaung and Than Myan, but also Sibu of Diergaarde Blijdorp in Rotterdam will move July 11 to the new exhibit in Dierenrijk Zoo. On July 17 they can be seen for in public.

I think seperation for Sibu is right now the best. He's teasing his sister and half-sister a lot and damages their skin with his tusks.

Sibu is even worse then Kan Kaung and Than Myan. But those two were also troublemakers two years ago, at the age of four. Like Sibu now is.

The three get separated boxes, and the caregivers have only contact with the elephants for footcare and medical reasons (protected contact). The two from Emmen need some extra trainings.

For the herd of Emmen the move of the two bulls will be a great relief.

In Leipzig Zoo they euthanised Rhani, 55 year old female. She had a abscess in her feet.
